Description
More about the process:
These boards are done in layers, first we fit the wood to the mold for the size you select and pour a base-layer of colored/tinted epoxy and allow that to cure. Almost any color you like is available and several colors can be chosen to create an ombre effect, that said typically we recommend the following:
Single Colors:
white, blue, black or green.
Ombre schemas:
light blue, to medium blue to midnight blue,
white to grey/silver to black,
white to light green to dark green,
light green to dark green,
brown to gold to earthy orange
Once the background layer is fully cured, we sand it lightly and glue down flowers in a pattern. Patterns can be natural/flowwy or more organized and geometric. Patterns can be symmetrical or asymmetrical. Take a look at the product gallery for ideas.
Lastly, we pour clear epoxy on top and allow that to cure fully. Then the board goes through the finishing process. My signature style is to round over the top edges, round the corners and use a 45deg chamfer edge on the bottom so that from above and the side the board appears to be floating. That said, if you have a edge/corner and style preference for finishing your piece, please let me know!
